报告摘要:In this talk, statistical analysis of shapes of objects is discussed. We introduce a representation of planar objects (embeddings) by tensor fields. These fields are invariant to rotation and translation of objects. We impose a Riemannian structure on tensor fields such that the action of re-parameterization group is by isometries, and develop a computational solution for inverting the representation map. Our algorithm is used for approximating geodesic paths in the object space assuming given registration.
